nubia's Navi X Ultra AI smartphone is set to launch later this month after receiving certification from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) for its built-in AI Large Language Model. The device was jointly developed by nubia and Byte Dance, the company behind Tik Tok, and will be available in four colors: blue, black, white, and "Dream".

Official specifications will be revealed at launch, but rumors from July suggest the phone features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 6.78-inch "1.5K" resolution display with 144Hz refresh rate, and a triple rear camera system led by a 50MP main sensor. A 50MP front camera handles selfies. The device reportedly packs a 7,100 mAh battery with 80W wired charging support.

nubia first teased the Navi X Ultra in July, positioning it as an "AI-powered smartphone" to compete in the emerging AI phone market. The MIIT certification marks a key regulatory milestone for the device's AI capabilities in the Chinese market.
