Apple is now on the second round of its developer betas for iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2, and macOS 27.2. After the first developer builds landed on September 16, Apple is now on the second round.

Normally, the first updates would be for the 27.1 versions, as a point-1 release usually follows the milestone ones. However, since the iOS 27.1 build is made with iPhone Duo elements in mind, that version is being skipped for the non-foldable iPhone models, hence 27.2.

The second 27.2 builds are: iOS 27.2 beta 2 is 24B5089g, replacing 24B5084k; iPadOS 27.2 beta 2 is 24B5089g, replacing 24B5084k; macOS 27.2 beta 2 is 26B5091g, replacing 26B5086k; tvOS 27.2 beta 2 is 24K5093g, replacing 24K5088l; watchOS 27.2 beta 2 is 24S5091f, replacing 24S5086l; visionOS 27.2 beta 2 is 24N5093f, replacing 24N5088l; HomePod Software 27.2 beta 2 is 24K5093g. There's also a pair of macOS release candidates for earlier generations: macOS 26.7.1 RC 3 is 25G313; macOS 15.8.1 RC 2 is 24H212.

The first round introduced a few changes to iOS 27.2, including a redesigned Health app, which works alongside the Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Apple Watch Series 12. FaceTime gained dual capture support, Siri AI added localization for multiple languages, and Apple TV profiles from tvOS 26.2 came over to the iPhone. AppleInsider regularly warns readers that people trying out beta software should do so on secondary, spare hardware instead of their mission-critical or daily driver devices.
