Apple has announced that watchOS 27 will launch on Monday, September 14. The update introduces a dedicated Siri app, enabling a more capable assistant that can handle everyday requests and broader knowledge queries. Conversations with Siri will sync across supported Apple devices.

However, watchOS 27 removes some familiar features. The Walkie-Talkie app is discontinued, and double-clicking the Digital Crown no longer opens the app switcher. Instead, pressing the Digital Crown now opens a dynamic app grid with suggested apps and Siri.

The full app launcher remains accessible but requires an extra step. Other additions include a unified Find My app, expanded Smart Stack suggestions, and improvements to Workout Buddy.
