Apple has announced that macOS 27 Golden Gate will ship to all users next Monday, September 16. The official release notes highlight a new Siri AI, powered by Apple Intelligence, which is more personal and conversational, integrated into Spotlight for system-wide search and actions. Visual Intelligence lets users select on-screen content for quick answers via a keyboard shortcut.

Photo editing gains Spatial Reframing, the Extend tool, and improved Clean Up. Safari introduces tab grouping, Notify Me for price changes, and Describe an Extension for custom add-ons. Shortcuts can now be created with natural language descriptions.

The design updates Liquid Glass for better readability, plus new parental controls like Ask to Browse and Time Allowances. Performance and search improvements are also included. Some features may be region-limited.
