Snap is launching Snapchat Plans, a new suite of features that encourages users to meet up in person. The feature lets Snapchatters create, share, and manage real-world plans with friends, all in one place. Users can add a title, choose a date and time, invite up to 200 friends, and personalize events with dynamic Bitmoji-powered cover art.

Invitations are delivered directly within one-on-one chats, where guests can RSVP with Going, Maybe, or Can't Go without interrupting the conversation. Snapchat Plans are private and invite-only, keeping everything between friends. The company highlights three current features: sending and receiving invitations from mutual friends, tracking key details like time, date, and attendees, and keeping plans in one easy-to-find place.

A fourth feature allowing users to create events directly within a chat is coming soon. This follows Snap's earlier addition of a Now Playing map feature to Snapchat.
