Apple Music for Android is getting a big Liquid Glass-inspired redesign with the latest 7.0 beta. With Liquid Glass now a year old on Apple platforms, the new design language is coming to Android. Apple Music now has a floating bottom bar that lets you see what is above, below, and to the sides. The navigation element has a small amount of translucency that allows you to mostly see solid colors underneath.

Similarly, the mini-player above it gets the same treatment and is no longer docked with the bottom bar. Compared to Liquid Glass on iOS, scrolling does not collapse the bar into a more compact version, with everything remaining in place. Top bars across the app have been updated, with the page title and overflow menu on the same line. The three-dot icons are no longer themed red and have been placed in circular containers. The Library tab sees the biggest update with “Edit Pins” and “Edit Categories” now part of the overflow.

Artist pages get a big update with the background now themed based on the cover image. This closely matches the iOS design with a more prominent play button and info page that’s no longer at the very bottom. Share has also been placed in the top-right corner. The Settings page has also been modernized with better grouping. There are no major changes to Now Playing, which did not see any big updates on iOS.

Finally, Apple Music 7.0 now has an edge-to-edge design for the status and navigation bars. With the last release, Apple Music for Android switched to a new versioning system that aligns with iOS. Today’s version 7.0 aligns with iOS 27. Apple Music 7.0 is currently in beta, with testing usually lasting a few weeks. You can sign up from the Play Store listing or this page.
