iOS 27 introduces five significant upgrades to Apple Music, enhancing the listening experience across iPhone and other Apple devices. The most notable addition is landscape mode support, allowing users to view lyrics alongside album artwork, particularly beneficial when the device is docked. Apple has also improved Auto Mix, refining transition quality for a more immersive experience and expanding availability to tvOS and HomePod.

Artist pages receive a refreshed design with fullscreen color backgrounds and more prominent display of featured music. A new Friends playlist joins the 'Made for You' collection, updated weekly to showcase what friends are listening to, with each track displaying the listener's identity. Furthermore, Apple Music gains three new extra-large widgets for the Home Screen and Today view, featuring Recently Played, Recommendations, and Top Charts, offering greater personalization flexibility.

These updates build on last year's iOS 26 improvements, focusing on visual design, social sharing, and immersive listening features. Apple Music remains available for $11.99 monthly or through the Apple One bundle, continuing its integration within the broader iOS ecosystem.
