Amazon announced a more than $100 million investment in a new 585,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Greenwood, Indiana. The project will create 300 skilled manufacturing and engineering jobs with an average salary of nearly $100,000. The facility is expected to launch by 2028 and will produce products for Amazon's fulfillment and robotics network.

This investment deepens Amazon's nearly two-decade commitment to Indiana, where the company has invested more than $40 billion and created over 27,000 jobs since 2008. The Greenwood facility follows a recent robotics manufacturing investment in Texas, expanding Amazon's domestic manufacturing footprint. The company has manufactured more than one million robots in the U.S., deployed across over 300 facilities globally.

Amazon selected Greenwood based on Indiana's manufacturing workforce, competitive cost structure, and logistics infrastructure. Since 2019, more than 4,200 Indiana employees have participated in Amazon's Career Choice program, with 32 education partners offering tuition-free training.
