Glamorgan's South Africa batter Colin Ingram will retire at the end of the season after 11 seasons with the county. The 41-year-old will transition into a coaching role at the club, ending a 20-year professional playing career. Ingram is Glamorgan's longest-serving overseas player of the 21st century and was their top run-scorer in the Championship promotion-winning side in 2025.

He has scored 31 centuries across three formats with a career-best of 257 not out, and captained the T20 side in 2018 and 2019. Ingram made 40 limited-overs appearances for South Africa and played franchise cricket globally, including for Oval Invincibles in The Hundred. After overcoming knee problems, he returned to first-class cricket, scoring centuries against Yorkshire and Warwickshire this season.

Director of cricket Mark Wallace called Ingram a "legend" whose performances and character have had a lasting impact. Ingram described batting as his art, saying he has "had a full crack and left it all out there." He could feature in a final farewell match against Essex alongside fellow retiree Chris Cooke. Ingram's county record includes 5645 first-class runs at 47 average and 67 wickets with leg-spin.
