Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has compared Kimi Antonelli to an "AI agent" that continuously improves, following the Italian's stunning victory at Monza. The 20-year-old Italian charged from 19th on the grid to win, extending his championship lead over teammate George Russell to 66 points.

Wolff admitted that even he has been surprised by Antonelli's rapid development in his second F1 season. The Austrian recalled how Antonelli struggled during his rookie year, including a nine-race stretch without points, but never doubted his potential.

"He came out after the winter, out of the blocks in a way that no one saw coming," Wolff said. "For me, it's like an AI agent that continuously self-improves and learns. That's the speed."

Antonelli remains grounded despite his success, telling Sky Sports: "I just take race by race because you never know what can happen." F1 returns this weekend with the Spanish Grand Prix at the new Madring circuit.
