Leclerc to Tow Hamilton at Italian GP Qualifying

Charles Leclerc expects to give Lewis Hamilton a tow in Italian Grand Prix qualifying, with Kimi Antonelli ready to help team-mate George Russell at Mercedes. Slipstreaming remains crucial at Monza despite 2026's new machinery reducing its effect.

At Ferrari, Hamilton will have priority to choose his Q3 starting position and likely seek Leclerc's tow. "This weekend Lewis will have the priority, so I guess he'll go for the slipstream," Leclerc said, adding he'll try to find another slipstream if needed.

At Mercedes, Antonelli faces a back-of-the-grid penalty after exceeding powertrain component quotas. He confirmed: "We have agreed on a few things," adding he'll help Russell if asked, since he's starting from the back anyway.

Antonelli currently leads the championship by 59 points over Russell and Hamilton with 11 rounds remaining.
