OpenAI and Grab have launched GO Forward with AI, a new programme designed to equip 30,000 driver, delivery and merchant partners across Southeast Asia with practical AI skills. Beginning in Singapore, the initiative will roll out to Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines later this year, followed by Malaysia and Vietnam in 2027. The programme focuses on helping participants apply tools like ChatGPT to real-world business challenges, such as exploring new ventures, analysing sales data and preparing for demand shifts.

A Grab survey found that half of Singapore driver and delivery partners already use AI tools, with 87% of non-users open to trying them. Participants will engage in hands-on workshops, using ChatGPT to build dashboards, websites and expansion plans. The collaboration builds on earlier work including Grab's Driver AI Assistant, which has reached close to 500,000 drivers.

The launch in Singapore is part of OpenAI for Singapore, reflecting a shared ambition to make AI accessible and meaningful for local communities. Both organisations emphasise that AI should be practical, accessible and useful for the people who need it most.
