Verdane has led a major capital raise in Xpansiv, the infrastructure provider behind many of the world's energy transition and environmental commodity markets. The European growth investor's backing will support Xpansiv's push into new products, asset classes, and geographies. Xpansiv runs the registries, marketplaces, and data underpinning trading in clean power, renewable energy certificates, verified carbon credits, and clean fuel credits, processing roughly one billion transactions a year.

"Xpansiv operates the market infrastructure for the global energy transition, and that position strengthens as reporting and compliance obligations widen," said Melanie Campbell, a principal at Verdane.
