Xbox has unveiled the Xbox Nano Controller, its smallest gamepad yet, measuring just over five inches long and weighing 3.5 ounces. Priced at $50, it features a rechargeable battery and the standard Xbox controller layout in a more compact form, designed for younger players and those with smaller hands. The controller includes a programmable action button accessible via the Xbox Accessories app, allowing users to assign functions like taking screenshots or recording gameplay videos.
It supports Bluetooth connectivity, enabling use with Xbox consoles, PCs, iOS and Android devices, and select smart TVs. Samsung is bundling the Nano Controller with two months of Game Pass Ultimate for new subscribers purchasing select TVs in the US during the holiday season, with a similar offer planned for Meta Quest headsets. Pre-orders are now open, with shipping in the US starting November 4 and availability in 35 additional countries next month.
The Nano Controller draws comparisons to 8Bit Do’s portable gamepads, though it is not as small as their Micro controller model.
