Motorola has released the Razr Fold, its inaugural tablet-style foldable device, entering a market established by competitors like Samsung and Google. While it boasts flagship specifications and a large internal display, the device comes with a substantial $1,900 price tag, making its practicality questionable despite its appeal. This new model marks a departure from Motorola's previous flip-style offerings, aiming for the larger screen format.

The Razr Fold features an 8.1-inch internal LTPO OLED screen running at 120 Hz. In terms of physical design, Motorola leverages its experience with hinges, offering a smooth mechanism that allows the device to open nearly flat, measuring 4.7 mm when open and 10.1 mm when closed. Its weight stands at 243 g.

Durability remains a concern for the new foldable. Unlike many flagships, the Razr Fold carries an IP49 rating, offering water sealing but lacking dust resistance—a potential issue given the moving hinge mechanism. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage, running on Android 16.
