Tyson Fury claims his long-awaited fight against Anthony Joshua is in serious doubt after Joshua requested more money. The British heavyweights had been negotiating a November bout at Madison Square Garden in New York.

In a social media video, Fury accused Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn of demanding additional funds from Turki Alalshikh, despite previous lucrative deals. "Keep on running you cowards," Fury said. However, Sky Sports understands Joshua has signed a contract and Matchroom are still working toward an announcement.

Matchroom CEO Frank Smith confirmed the original contract stipulated a UK venue, though MSG is now being proposed by The Ring Magazine and Saudi delegation. Smith called it a "critical week" for negotiations, with November still possible if progress is made in the next 7-10 days to allow proper training camps.

The rivals previously failed to agree terms in 2021. Fury's manager Spencer Brown expressed concern over delays, saying "Everybody's got a bit of doubt in their mind" and urging to get the fight finalized.
