Apple's AirPods Max 2 are now available for pre-order after being unveiled earlier this month. The premium over-ear headphones start at $549/€579/£499/₹67,900, with shipping set for April 2 at Amazon and 'early next month' through Apple's website. The company had promised pre-orders would begin this week, and they've delivered on that timeline.

The second-generation model features Apple's H2 chip, delivering 1.5x more effective active noise cancellation compared to the original. New capabilities include Adaptive Audio, Live Translation, conversation awareness, and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Apple also promises cleaner audio through a new high dynamic range amplifier and added functionality where the digital crown doubles as an iPhone camera shutter button.

Battery life remains competitive at 20 hours with ANC enabled, charging via USB-C. The AirPods Max 2 represents Apple's continued refinement of its premium audio lineup, building on the foundation of the original model with incremental but meaningful improvements in noise cancellation, connectivity, and smart features.
