Snapchat users sent nearly 2 trillion snaps in 2025, according to new data from Snap Inc. The company revealed users created about 5.5 billion distinct snaps daily, averaging 11 snaps per user each day across the platform's 474 million daily active users.

This marks the first time Snap has shared annual snap totals, offering rare insight into engagement on the 15-year-old platform where much activity occurs privately. The numbers translate to roughly 63,000 snaps sent every second. Last year, Snap reported users shared over 1 trillion selfie snaps in 2024.

Snap has been steadily approaching 1 billion users, reporting 946 million monthly users in its latest earnings report. CEO Evan Spiegel has described reaching a billion people as a "long term goal" for the company, which has occasionally struggled with user growth. The massive snap volume underscores Snapchat's enduring appeal for quick, ephemeral communication.
