Mercedes' Kim Antonelli topped first practice at the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort, leading McLaren's Lando Norris.

Aston Martin's Honda power unit shows progress, though still behind the best engines, per the company's own admission. Fernando Alonso monitors this as he considers his future beyond this season.

Audi's Nico Hulkenberg was seventh, fastest without soft tyres, with Alpine's Pierre Gasly, Audi's Gabriel Bortoleto, and Racing Bulls' Arvid Lindblad rounding out the top 10. Red Bull's Max Verstappen managed only 11th, while new team-mate Liam Lawson was 14th after replacing the injured Isack Hadjar. Several teams introduced upgrades: Ferrari brought a new floor hoping to capitalize on Hungarian GP potential, Alpine gave Gasly their first major upgrade in some time, while McLaren and Aston Martin added minor aerodynamic tweaks.
