One notable difference between working on Claude and other productivity tools is that users want to know how to use the AI rather than feature requests. In this post, I walk through redesigning my homepage without touching code or using traditional Claude Code. No PRs were made, nor did I open GitHub.

Roughly 60 threads worked in parallel on increasingly outrageous requests, including creating a CGI parody of a Werner Herzog documentary in Blender and synthesizing soundtracks from scratch. Despite the complexity, orchestration happened primarily on my phone. I started by creating a new Claude Project, which spans Chat, Cowork, and Code, acting as a layer above domain-specific concepts.

I directed one Claude per project to manage tasks and threads. Brainstorming began by dumping inspiration on the table, including 90s rave posters and movies. Ten threads explored directions in parallel.

Claude eventually suggested a vintage technology theme featuring Game Boys, record players, and Walkmans. For the final portfolio gallery, Claude suggested VHS tapes. Claude's prototype involved writing code to use Blender for rendering.

Despite pushing Claude to use Blender, the AI modeled a cozy campfire for an abandoned idea. The redesign process utilized vintage technology aesthetics and parallel thread execution to achieve creative goals without local code execution.
