Craftopia launched in Steam Early Access in September 2020 as Pocketpair's first open-world survival-craft game, and on the game's sixth anniversary, the studio has officially revealed that the game will officially launch out of Early Access, with Craftopia 1.0 now slated for 2027. An exact launch date has yet to be confirmed, but Pocketpair will be adding some new content to the game when the full 1.0 version launches. Although there will be new content launching alongside the 1.0 launch, the studio says that the priority is "addressing outstanding issues, and making Craftopia as enjoyable and polished as possible for its full release." Pocketpair also says that Craftopia 1.0 will finally launch in a stable form on Xbox Series X|S consoles and on Xbox on PC, after the studio faced technical difficulties launching the game on Microsoft's console.

Unfortunately, it also confirmed that there will be no Xbox One version of the game, due to technical limitations relating to performance and stability—development has officially been discontinued for the Xbox One version of Craftopia. Craftopia has changed dramatically over the course of Early Access. The game has added a huge amount of content over the years, and as we approach Version 1.0, our priority is not simply adding as much new content as possible.

Instead, much of our focus is on cleaning up and refining the existing experience, addressing outstanding issues, and making Craftopia as enjoyable and polished as possible for its full release. That means the 1.0 update may not be as focused on sheer content volume as some players might expect. However, there will still be new content arriving alongside Version 1.0, and we'll have more details to share about that in the future.

Pocketpair attributes its current state and the existence of the massively successful Palworld to Craftopia, saying in the launch date window announcement that "Craftopia holds an incredibly important place in Pocketpair's history. It is no exaggeration to say that without Craftopia, Pocketpair as it exists today, and even Palworld, simply would not exist.".
