Britain enjoyed a successful day at the US Open as Neal Skupski won the men's doubles title and Alfie Hewett reclaimed the wheelchair singles crown. Hewett defeated Tokito Oda 6-0 7-6 (7-5), preventing the 20-year-old Japanese player from completing a calendar Grand Slam. The victory at Flushing Meadows was Hewett's fifth US Open title but his first since 2023, following earlier finals defeats to Oda at the French Open and Wimbledon.

Skupski partnered American Christian Harrison to beat Germany's Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz 6-4 7-6 (8-6). The pair had won the Australian Open together in January and also claimed the Wimbledon title, becoming only the fourth men's doubles team since 1988 to win both majors in the same year on hard courts.

Skupski, who had been runner-up at Flushing Meadows twice before, said the victory felt special. Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares presented the trophies on the 10th anniversary of their own win at the tournament.
