The Scottish Premiership transfer window is closed after more than 120 new signings, with clubs hoping for another dramatic season.

Celtic fans express frustration with the window's end, though the Hoops hierarchy are content with their business. They generated £49.5m from player sales including Daizen Maeda, Arne Engels and Reo Hatate, while spending £36.2m on reinforcements. The club broke their transfer record with the £11m+ signing of Kasper Hogh and added Camilo Duran, Haissem Hassan, Mika Baur and Joel van den Berg. Despite missing midfield target Gvidas Gineitis, Celtic's attack looks strong but squad depth remains a concern.

Rangers continue their rebuild, signing 14 players for a second successive summer. Deadline Day additions include striker Kevin Kelsy for £9.2m from Portland Timbers and Stuttgart winger Badredine Bouanani on loan. Other notable signings include Ivor Pandur (£6m), Minsu Kim (£8.5m from Girone) and several others costing around £10m total. With only four players remaining from last summer's intake, the focus is on whether quantity will deliver quality under boss Derek Mc Innes.
