Matt Fitzpatrick secured his fourth worldwide win of 2026 with a three-shot victory at the Fed Ex Open de France at Le Golf National. The world No 4 carried a five-shot advantage into the final round and maintained composure, carding a 70 to finish 20 under par. Angel Hidalgo chased throughout, birdieing three of his last five holes for a 67 to finish second.

Eugenio Chacarra featured prominently, sharing third after a challenging final day that included a double bogey at the 13th. Fitzpatrick's victory marked his first DP World Tour title since November, adding to PGA Tour wins at the Valspar Championship, RBC Heritage, and Zurich Classic of New Orleans earlier in the year. The Englishman struggled on the front nine but found his best form down the stretch, highlighted by birdies at the 15th and 13th to seal the title.

Angel Hidalgo's runner-up finish qualified him for The Open at St Andrews via The Open Qualifying Series. Ludvig Aberg and other contenders trailed in the final standings. The event strengthened the Race to Dubai leaderboard, with Chacarra closing the gap on Patrick Reed and Rory Mc Ilroy.
