The 2026 summer transfer window has closed ahead of the new Women's Super League season. Tottenham were winners after early business brought experienced forward Kirsty Hanson from Aston Villa, striker Shekiera Martinez from West Ham, and seasoned Champions League players Caitlin Dijkstra, Victoria Pelova and Alice Sombath. Manager Martin Ho attracted Goalkeeper Selma Panengstuen and forward Signe Gaupset from SK Brann, along with Hanson, who played under Ho at Manchester United from 2020-2023. The six additions give Spurs greater depth to improve on last season's fifth-place finish.

A significant amount of top women's talent moved on free transfers. Two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas left Barcelona for London City Lionesses, Arsenal acquired defender Ona Batlle, while midfielder Georgia Stanway and goalkeeper Misa Rodríguez also moved to the Emirates for free. Manchester City signed winger Beth Mead from Arsenal, Chelsea brought in full back Katie McCabe, and Liverpool signed young goalkeeper Khiara Keating from City.

London City were once again among the most active clubs, with billionaire owner Michele Kang attracting Mapi León, Mary Earps, Kadidiatou Diani and Nicole Anyomi alongside Putellas. Manchester United, by contrast, were the biggest losers after a quiet window.
