Rams defensive end Myles Garrett will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery and be placed on injured reserve, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Garrett, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, will miss at least the next four games. He is eligible to return for the Rams' Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

After the Rams' season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Garrett said his knee was not 100% healthy going into the game, calling his performance 'the worst version of myself that I've put out there.' Garrett missed most of training camp with swelling in his knee, wearing a sleeve on his left leg during practices. The Rams traded for Garrett this offseason, sending two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Jared Verse and three draft picks, including a first-round selection in 2027, to the Cleveland Browns. The trade cost the Rams significantly, as Garrett set the single-season sack record with 23 sacks last season for the Browns.
