ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Detroit Lions All-Pro linebacker Jack Campbell fought back tears while accepting full responsibility for the team's 41-31 Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium. "It starts with me, and I feel like it's on me. I gotta be better," Campbell said, his voice cracking. He finished with six tackles and a QB hit, but Detroit's defense has now allowed at least 30 points in back-to-back games, falling to 1-1.

This marks the first time since 2021 -- Dan Campbell's first season -- that the Lions have allowed 30-plus points in their first two games. Josh Allen accounted for five total touchdowns, and Detroit has surrendered 63 first downs, tied for second-most through two games since 1985. The Lions have allowed 30-plus points in five of their last eight regular-season contests.

Edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson acknowledged the unit "were not good enough" but vowed changes are coming. Detroit trailed 27-10 at halftime, prompting an emotional Dan Campbell to say "the little s--- is killing us." The Lions host the New York Jets next week as they search for answers.
