Ryan Garcia (26-2, 21 KOs) declared readiness to unify boxing's welterweight division after his second-round knockout of Conor Benn (25-2, 14 KOs) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The 28-year-old WBC champion targets WBA titleholder Teofimo Lopez Jr. (23-2, 13 KOs) next, criticizing Lopez's defense: "I think that he's much easier to hit than people think he is. And I think that I will knock him out." Garcia and his father/trainer Henry Garcia believe the DAZN-promoted bout is easily made.

Garcia also discussed rematches with Devin Haney (33-0, 15 KOs), the WBO champion, and Gervonta "Tank" Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs). The Haney rematch remains complicated after their 2024 no-contest and Haney's personal losses. Garcia said: "I don't think it'll happen in the next seven, eight months." A Davis rematch at welterweight is possible but requires weight negotiations.

Shakur Stevenson, who beat Lopez in January, looms as another unification target. Garcia's ambition aligns with his fame as he seeks to face every member of the original "New Four Kings.".
