LSU has resolved its conflict with the SEC, according to a letter from President Wade Rousse to Commissioner Greg Sankey obtained by ESPN's Pete Thamel. Rousse stated that LSU has "complied" with conference rules by locking its roster without adding former NFL players Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, declaring "the issue is moot."

The federal court hearing for the SEC's lawsuit against LSU was postponed, while the SEC's Thursday meeting with presidents and chancellors to decide on terminating LSU remains scheduled. Under SEC rules, a two-thirds vote is required for termination, though the outcome faces long odds given LSU's compliance.

Earlier, a Louisiana judge approved a preliminary injunction allowing Wright, Harris and 42 other athletes to return for a fifth year despite signing NFL contracts. LSU avoided potential penalties by filling its 105-man roster with eligible student-athletes instead of the disputed players.
