Bill Connelly ranks all 68 Power 4 college football quarterbacks for the 2026 season. With many top teams returning experienced QBs, the position has become an even bigger storyline than expected.

Darian Mensah of Miami Hurricanes tops the list at No. 1, leading power conference QBs in completion rate (88.7%), touchdowns (14), yards per dropback (11.0), and passing success rate (68.7%). Despite having elite receiver Malachi Toney, Mensah's stats remain unmatched.

CJ Carr of Notre Dame ranks second, improving nearly every metric from last season. His Total QBR jumped from 83.4 to 89.4, and he's showing better decision-making with fewer interceptions and sacks. Carr may have found a new deep threat in Micah Gilbert.

Julian Sayin of Ohio State holds the third spot, posting a 92.8 Total QBR with 12 total touchdowns. While he continues to excel throwing to Jeremiah Smith, Sayin has also developed strong connections with secondary receivers. The only missing element is a clutch fourth-quarter game-winning drive.

Other notable QBs include Trinidad Chambliss (Ole Miss), Jayden Maiava (USC), and Darian Mensah (Miami), all of whom have looked elite at various points this season.
