The 16th Presidents Cup tees off Thursday on the No. 3 Course at Medinah Country Club outside Chicago. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is among seven U.S. golfers ranked in the top 10. Si Woo Kim (14th) and Ryan Fox (22nd) are the highest-ranked Internationals. The Americans have won 10 straight times, including 18.5-11.5 at Royal Montreal two years ago. Brandt Snedeker leads the U.S. team, while Australia's Geoff Ogilvy captains the Internationals.

Mark Schlabach says Justin Thomas is under the most pressure for the U.S. after a winless season with two top-10 finishes. Thomas, 33, had back surgery in November and struggled with irons and putter, ranking 107th in approach and 87th on greens. However, he has a 19-9-4 record in the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup and won the 2019 BMW Championship at Medinah by three strokes.

Paolo Uggetti says Si Woo Kim is key for the Internationals. Despite zero wins, Kim has 11 top-10 finishes this year and leads the tour in strokes gained: approach. He posted a 5-3 record in the last two Presidents Cups and famously used the Steph Curry "night night" celebration two years ago after chipping in to tie a match on the 16th hole.
