NBA Playoffs & Front Office Shakeups

The Philadelphia 76ers face uncertainty following their second-round sweep, compounded by the confirmation that Daryl Morey is out as president after six seasons, though Doc Rivers is expected to remain as coach. This organizational upheaval comes as the team must now address significant health and roster construction questions surrounding its core players entering the summer months. Meanwhile, the Western Conference playoff action saw the San Antonio Spurs maintain control over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game, a crucial matchup featuring the highly anticipated duel between French compatriots Rudy Gobert and Victor Wembanyama, who have maintained a decade-long friendship despite facing each other in a tense 2-2 series entering this late stage.

League Buzz & Future Prospects

Beyond the immediate playoff picture, league insiders suggest that Giannis Antetokounmpo's status with the Bucks remains a key talking point as the offseason approaches, adding another layer of potential volatility to the Eastern Conference landscape. Separately, the early testing and drills at the 2026 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago provided initial insights into the next wave of talent, with specific attention paid to prospects like AJ Dy, as scouts begin projecting future team needs based on these initial evaluations.
