The number of private equity, private credit and infrastructure vehicles deemed 'impaired' by the SWF has risen 35% year-on-year. Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation, the US’s 21st-biggest investor in private equity, wrote down investments in dozens of alternatives funds over the past year after determining it would not recoup their value at cost. The Juneau-headquartered investor said that 42 private equity funds, three private credit funds and one infrastructure fund were “impaired” during the year to 30 June, in its latest annual report published Tuesday.
