Blue Sage Capital and Castle Capital have formed Blue Castle Waste Solutions, a regional solid waste and recycling platform targeting the Midwest and Plains regions. No financial terms were disclosed in the partnership announcement.

The company was established through the concurrent partnering with founder-owned waste-collection businesses serving communities across Minnesota and Iowa. Doug Asay serves as CEO of Blue Castle, bringing extensive experience in the waste management sector.

Blue Castle is focused on growing through organic initiatives and add-on acquisitions across the Midwest and Plains regions. Peter Huff, founding and managing partner of Blue Sage, said in a statement, 'Blue Castle represents a compelling opportunity to apply a proven playbook in a sector we know well.
