Years of rumors can finally be put to rest – Apple unveiled the i Phone Duo, its first foldable, earlier this week. Its starting price of $2,000 / £2,000 / €2,300 / ₹300,000 is close to the Z Fold8’s $1,900 / £1,700 / €2,000 / ₹180,000 in most regions, with India the exception.

Apple says the i Phone Duo has its largest display yet, improves multitasking, and can stand for videos and video calls. It features a 48MP 1/1.28” main camera, a 48MP 120° ultra-wide and an under-display camera. The Apple A20 Pro has also reached the top of the Geekbench charts. Other wide foldables include the Z Fold8, Xiaomi 18 Fold and Huawei Pura X Max.

Apple also unveiled the i Phone 18 Pro and the i Phone 18 Pro Max. The i Phone 18 Pro gets Apple’s first 2nm chip, a variable-aperture 48MP main camera and slightly larger batteries. The i Phone 18 Pro Max receives the same upgrades with more substantial battery gains. The vanilla i Phone 18 and any 18e, Air2 and other models will wait until next year.

Starting prices are $1,199 / €1,449 / £1,199 / INR 164,900 / CNY 9,999 / JPY 219,800 for the i Phone 18 Pro, $1,299 / €1,599 / £1,299 / INR 179,900 / CNY 10,999 / JPY 239,800 for the i Phone 18 Pro Max, and $1,999 / €2,299 / £1,999 / INR 299,900 / CNY 15,999 / JPY 364,800 for the i Phone Duo. Apple also raised prices on the i Phone 17, 16 and Air models and discontinued the old Pro models.
