Waymo has expanded its robotaxi service to three new U.S. cities: Denver, San Diego, and Tampa. This expansion brings the total number of U.S. cities where Waymo operates to 14, ahead of its planned international expansion. The company reports that tens of thousands of residents in each new location have already signed up for the service.

Access will be gradually rolled out to signed-up users before becoming available to the general public. Waymo is also pursuing global expansion, with planned launches in Tokyo, Munich, and London. However, recent reports indicate that Waymo, along with competitors Wayve and Baidu, may face delays in launching fully autonomous rides in London this year due to technical and regulatory challenges.
