Lego has officially confirmed its 1,911-piece PlayStation set, launching October 1 at $180. The detailed replica is near 1:1 scale to the original 1995 console, measuring 10.5 inches wide. It includes a faithful controller with non-functional mechanical buttons and two hidden dioramas: Ape Escape, featuring an island scene with a monkey helmet that lights up in red or blue, and Gran Turismo, complete with a tiny track and cars. This marks the first brick-built PlayStation hardware, though Lego and PlayStation have collaborated before — including the 2022 Horizon Forbidden West set and the Lego Horizon Adventures game. The set was announced during a State of Play livestream and continues Lego’s trend of retro gaming console replicas, following earlier Nintendo and Sega Genesis sets.
