Google has released a native Gemini app for Windows 10 and 11, following a similar launch for Mac earlier this year. The app offers a streamlined way to access AI tools on Windows PCs and can be launched via a keyboard shortcut, just like the Mac version. Google says it's ideal for quick fact-checks or generating title ideas for presentations.

The Windows app integrates with other Google AI products, allowing tasks to be sent to the agentic assistant Gemini Spark. It also connects with Gmail and Google Drive, and can generate images and videos through Nano Banana and Gemini Omni.

Google promises the app is "lightweight and quiet" and won't slow down Windows PCs. It's available for download now, with more native desktop capabilities expected in the future.
