iPhone 18 Pro is here, and its Dynamic Island is better than ever. My favorite change is one Apple barely mentioned: an improved dual Live Activity mode. The Dynamic Island now shows more information when running two Live Activities.

Apple debuted the Dynamic Island in 2022 on iPhone 14 Pro. With iPhone 18 Pro, Apple shrank it for the first time by moving Face ID components under the display. More importantly, it can now display more Live Activity information.

Apple spotlighted how three Live Activities can run at once—up from two. But the bigger benefit is that your second Live Activity can be more informative. If you're running two, there's more space, and Apple uses it to give the second additional info. So if you're listening to media while running a timer—like at the gym—you'll now see the remaining time in the Dynamic Island. Before, it only showed a timer icon.
