Today marks September 1st as Apple officially appoints John Ternus as the new CEO, succeeding Tim Cook. This transition begins a new era with Ternus steering the company toward a more product-oriented vision. The change is reflected on Apple's updated leadership page, where Ternus now holds the CEO title and Cook moves to the Board of Directors as Executive Chair.

While the shift in strategy takes time to implement, Ternus's first major public role will be introducing the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra lineup at the fall media event on September 9th. Previously, the board of directors section listed members by name only. Apple has now expanded this section to include profile headshots.
