Polish Stocks Outperform US and European Peers

Poland’s benchmark equity index is outperforming US stocks and all primary markets in Europe since June as foreign investors are lured by improving earnings and the country’s robust $1 trillion economy. The WIG20 index has jumped 15% in the past two months and closed at a record high on Friday. This compares with a 2.9% gain by the S&P 500, a 1% advance by the Stoxx Europe 600 and nearly no change by the MSCI Emerging Market Index.

The surge reflects growing confidence in Poland’s economic resilience and corporate profitability, drawing increased capital inflows from international investors seeking higher returns amid sluggish performance elsewhere.
