HarbourView Equity Partners acquired the producer royalties and master-recording rights of Grammy-nominated producer David Kershenbaum. Kershenbaum's catalog spans a body of work continuing to earn across recorded music, streaming, licensing, film, and television. His credits include producing Tracy Chapman's self-titled debut, which sold over 7 million copies and won three Grammy Awards, alongside key records from Joe Jackson, Marc Cohn, Bryan Adams, and Duran Duran.

Fresh attention was brought to the songs after Luke Combs' recent rendition of "Fast Car" and Chapman's return to the Grammy stage. Over a career spanning more than five decades, Kershenbaum earned four Grammy nominations, including for Producer of the Year. Since its inception in 2021, Harbour View has amassed about $3.88 billion in regulatory assets under management and acquired more than 70 music catalogues.

Its portfolio now spans approximately 41,000 songs across both master recording and publishing income streams. Sherrese Clarke, Founder and CEO of Harbour View Equity Partners, stated the company is excited to welcome David to the family and steward this catalog. Kershenbaum cast the sale as a handover to a like-minded owner, expressing excitement to partner with a team that understands this body of work.
