UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland survived an off-road vehicle crash but admits he was "an idiot" for not wearing a helmet. The 35-year-old American was a passenger alongside friend Chris Cornell, who was driving at approximately 60mph. The vehicle rolled "around six times" during the incident.

Cornell was hospitalized after falling unconscious, though he later posted a photo from his hospital bed with a thumbs up. Strickland sustained grazes to his head and back and described himself as an "idiot" for the safety oversight. He later updated followers, stating he was "a little concussed but good" and wanted to spar the next day.

Strickland added that his shoulder was sore but he was otherwise okay. The polarizing MMA figure, known for controversial remarks, captured the aftermath on Instagram, showing his injuries before reflecting on the dangerous ride through the desert.
