Teenage wing sensation Noah Caluori revealed he played the majority of his breakthrough season with a detached ligament in his wrist. The 19-year-old sustained the injury in December while competing for a high ball in Saracens' defeat by Exeter. Despite featuring in 13 Prem games, scoring 18 tries, and earning an England debut, Caluori opted to wait until summer for surgery. "It would just hurt," he said. "A lot of movements hurt, I had to modify a lot of my gym plans, catching the high balls hurt." He managed the pain through adrenaline and determination.

Caluori posted a photo on social media in July showing his heavily bandaged right wrist. He explained that Saracens and England gave him the freedom to choose, stating they would not have let him play if he was unable. "I chose what I wanted to do," he added. "I was pretty happy that I've done it.".
