Cassandre Beaugrand of France won the final World Championship Triathlon Series event in Pontevedra, Spain, completing the race in one hour 50 minutes 52 seconds. Great Britain's Beth Potter finished fourth, needing a victory to overtake Beaugrand in the overall standings. Team-mates Georgia Taylor-Brown and Kate Waugh placed second and third, respectively, behind the French athlete.

Beaugrand, the Olympic champion, stretched ahead of the three British competitors during the second lap of the run and maintained her lead. This victory marks a dominant season for Beaugrand, who has won all five World Championship circuit races she entered. Taylor-Brown, who won the Czech Republic leg earlier this month, secured her first tour win since 2023.

Potter, the 2023 Pontevedra champion, remained in contention through the cycle but could not catch Beaugrand. The series concluded with Beaugrand claiming the overall title.
