Nick (@skeptrune on X) launched Skillbay, a curated marketplace for AI agent skills. He was inspired by using AI for tasks he's not an expert in, like redlining contracts, creating AI-generated videos, and website designs, and wanted to buy paid skills to help AI accomplish those tasks more efficiently.

Skillbay offers SKILL.md packages that teach coding agents how to do a job. Every skill is reviewed by a human and includes before-and-after evidence. The site provides a JSON API and an MCP server for integration. Users can browse, install free skills, or submit without signing in; sign-in is required for buying paid skills or selling.

The marketplace includes categories such as coding & dev tools, writing & editing, content creation, research & analysis, data & spreadsheets, devops & infra, design & media, sales & marketing, business ops, and personal productivity.
