SilverStone adds another case to its well-known retro-styled lineup with the FLP03 microATX tower. You also get a powerful 180 mm Air Penetrator fan, plus a slightly tweaked design language that improves on some of its predecessor's shortcomings, but does it have appeal beyond nostalgia?

Following two other popular retro-themed PC cases from Silver Stone, the FLP03 is the smaller sibling to the FLP02, sticking to micro ATX motherboards and smaller, but maintaining rear connector support and the same nostalgic design. Interestingly, it also ditches the usual setup of multiple smaller front fans in favor of a single monstrous Air Penetrator 180 mm fan. This might resolve the noise complaints we had with the original ATX version.

The FLP03 still has the same funky front panel features and internal design. As with the original model, the question becomes: is this a glorious restomod or more rest in peace?
