NHL Controversy and Overtime Drama
The Avalanche contested the call that led to Nathan Mac Kinnon’s game misconduct for alleged goalie interference in Tuesday’s 4-3 loss to the Oilers, with coach Jared Bednar questioning the inconsistency in officiating standards. Meanwhile, the Bruins secured their 13th consecutive home victory as Charlie McAvoy scored the OT game-winner just 39 seconds in, though he later underwent dental surgery after sustaining tooth damage during the Kings’ late push. The incidents underscore heightened tensions around player safety and clutch performances defining recent playoff races.
