Indian handset maker Lava has entered the UK smartphone market with the launch of the Agni 4N (Agni means fire). Lava says the Agni 4N is "designed to deliver a premium smartphone experience at an accessible price point" and "combines flagship-grade performance, thoughtful design, and user-centric innovation for UK consumers." The device features a metal build and a 6.67" AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5, 2,400 nits peak brightness, and 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Dimensity 8350 So C chipset with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, running stock Android 16 without ads or bloatware, with two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

The Agni 4N includes Vayu AI (Vayu means air), described as an "intelligent AI companion" with features like Expert AI Agents, AI Call Summary, and AI Photo Editor. Photography is handled by a 50MP selfie camera and a dual rear setup with a 50MP primary (OIS) and 8MP ultrawide camera, both capable of 4K@60FPS video. A 5,000 mAh battery supports 66W fast charging, claiming 0-50% in 19 minutes.

Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, NFC, dual stereo speakers, IP64 rating, and a 4,300 mm2 3D VC liquid cooling system. The phone comes in Phantom Black and Lunar Mist colors with matte AG glass backs.

Priced at £499 (INR64,085), the Agni 4N will go on sale via Amazon starting September 4. Lava has partnered with SBE Ltd in Ashford, Kent to provide UK customer support, offering a two-year replacement warranty for hardware defects. The Agni 4N is a variant of the Agni 4 launched in India last November.
