Remedy Entertainment's Control Resonant launched this week on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox for PC, with Mac release later this year. Despite its $60 price and major marketing, Remedy confirms it remains an independent studio, qualifying the sequel for indie coverage. The game shifts focus to Jesse Faden's brother Dylan as protagonist, expands to an open world, and replaces the morphable weapon with melee combat.

Reviews note repetitive combat but praise the world and story. Other highlights include the Game Devs of Color expo featuring over 60 global games, Mexican Entertainment System and Serbian Games Week on Steam running until September 28, and Out Of The Box Games showcasing 130 innovative titles. Day of the Devs has opened submissions for its December 9 showcase, with a September 28 deadline.

Dressmaker, a new release from this week, has surged on Steam Top Sellers. Stick It to the Stickman by Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital is a satirical anti-capitalist roguelite brawler on Steam, currently 50% off until October 1.
